2 SESSION CLASS: Experience playing with clay! Learn the basics of hand building such as pinching, coiling, rolling slabs and adding textures. You will create an array of items which may include cups, mugs, bowls, wind chimes, and vases.

This week: Intro to Sashiko - Explore an introduction to sashiko, a Japanese stitching tradition, using simple running stitches to mend and embellish fabric. Ann Marie will provide guidance and all materials for experimenting on a practice patch.

This week: MAKE - Create a unique journal from upcycled materials and learn a pamphlet stitch to bind its pages. Ann Marie will provide materials, ideas, and guidance. Leave with your new journal and prompts for reflection through words and images. No bookbinding or art experience needed.
