I regularly require immersion in nature and creative expression, influencing my love of hiking, gardening, sculpting, and other forms of art-making.

The unique experiences of my life that affect my beliefs include growing up in a small farming town and living my adult life in cities and suburbs. With my husband and children, I have traveled the world, lived in another country, and been intimately involved in other cultures. I am engaged and appreciate the diversity and wisdom that all age and gender groups have to offer. I regularly require immersion in nature and creative expression, influencing my love of hiking, gardening, sculpting, and other forms of art-making. I believe being creative is a part of being human. Our creativity needs a form of expression that is not related to perfection but to exploration that sometimes involves accepting and appreciating the imperfection that makes us human.

My Approach

The culmination of our unique experiences makes us who we are. I also recognize the intersection of our physical, mental, relational, and spiritual health, understanding each area as an affected part of our whole self. I focus on supporting clients through life challenges with an awareness of the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit.

My approach is strength-based, believing you are the expert in your life. I am a fellow traveler who provides honest and direct feedback, counseling practices, and education that can help identify behavior patterns in these intersecting areas to influence an observable healthier difference in your life. My approach with clients centers on honesty, trust, empathy, and non-judgment. Together we use the therapeutic relationship to build on your strengths. By being fully aware and mindful of your needs, you can make conscious, proactive choices to identify your values and what matters to you.
