ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS: Cabbagetown Art Center takes all reasonable measures to create a safe work space for members, teachers, students and studio workers . You acknowledge and understand that as part of any class or other activity, you (and/or your minor child if child is under the age of 18) may be exposed to sharp tools, clay dust, paint and other chemical art materials. You further understand that there are inherent risks with such exposure which could potentially cause bodily injury or harm. You understand the description of these risks is not complete and that unknown or unanticipated risks may result in injury, illness or even death.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY: By using the facilities at Cabbagetown Art Center, you agree to assume responsibility (for yourself and/or your minor child if child is under the age of 18) for those risks identified herein and those not specifically identified and elect to participate in spite of the risks. You certify that you (and/or my minor child if child is under the age of 18) are physically capable of participating in activities and that your participation in this activities are purely voluntary. You assume full responsibility (for yourself and/or my minor child if child is under the age of 18) for any loss or damage which may incur through participation in classes or other activities at the Cabbagetown Art Center.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: In consideration of the services provided and acknowledgement of risks, you and any minor children for which you are a parent, legal guardian or otherwise responsible, any heirs, personal representative or assigns, do hereby covenant not to sue and fully release and discharge all rights and/or causes of action of any kind, including claims of negligence, which I may have against Cabbagetown Art Center, and its principles, owners, agents, employees, members, teachers, workers and representatives including, without limitation, any and all claims arising out of, or in any way related to use of facilities at the Cabbagetown Art Center and the related activities described herein.

Cabbagetown Art Center is not responsible for any personal items lost or left behind at the Art Center.

ART CLASS CONDUCT: Cabbagetown Art Center is a Safe Place for all people. Our mission includes promoting and supporting creativity, self-expression, and destigmatizing mental health and wellness. To that end, disrespectful, rude, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated in any class, or at any Cabbagetown Art Center program. It is imperative to respect the other participants and the experience they paid for. It is fully expected that participants will respectfully and professionally talk and interact with our teachers, staff, and volunteers.

If there is a problem, Cabbagetown Art Center expects open communication where both parties are willing to listen and communicate clearly while having a mature and civil conversation. If there needs to be a longer conversation Cabbagetown Art Center, at their discretion, will schedule a meeting outside of class hours. If a participant is being disruptive or ruining the class atmosphere Cabbagetown Art Center has the right to excuse the participant from class. If this happens the participant will be fully refunded for the class and be asked not to return.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK DUE TO COVID-19: Cabbagetown Art Center cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while utilizing Cabbagetown Art Center’s services or premises. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to utilize Cabbagetown Art Center’s services and/or enter onto Cabbagetown Art Center’s premises you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. You hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for yourself and/or my children in order to utilize Cabbagetown Art Center’s services and enter Cabbagetown Art Center’s premises.
