Artist, Group Leader
I focus primarily on bringing art to the community and using art to communicate for those struggling to understand and cope with life situations. I practice Art Therapy in groups or clusters often offered in series.
I grew up in Central Georgia and obtained my Bachelors in Art and Art History and my Masters in Art Therapy from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville.
Education & Certifications
- BFA in Art and Art History
- MAAT Masters of Art in Art Therapy
My Approach
These specialty courses often included themes such as grief, reintegration, identity, purpose, boundaries, depression and isolation. I believe just like the traditional art classes, there is value and power in the group experience. These clusters focus on the curative factors of Installation Hope, Recapitulation of Family Unity and Universality.
I work in a range of media and teach introductory workshops in a variety of media as well as workshop modules using combined media. In addition to sessions at CAC I provide weekly classes in the Middle Georgia Area.
